Artificial photosynthesis achieved
Check this article out: http://www.seeker.com/this-artificial-leaf-is-a-tiny-factory-that-uses-sunlight-to-make-medi-2162226131.html
I watched this news on TV some days ago and decided to share it with you people.
It's amazing how almost every time scientists forget theories and start exploring 'surprising' discoveries are made.
EDIT: sorry, I forgot to mention what they are surprised about: the process is much more efficient than expected. It seems someone underestimated light

Re: Artificial photosynthesis achieved
I saw a similar article last year but this is looking more like a real breakthrough that can be commercialized. Thanks for the reminder it definitely is one to pay attention to.
Exactly, and that is what makes science exciting (rather than debates over theory). Throughout his papers, Miles has always hinted that more actual exploratory science needs to be done in a manner that challenges current theories and formulas.

This is happening, and we should keep an eye on the Eastern Asia which is so much more open minded about science breakthroughs.Cr6 wrote:[...] that is what makes science exciting (rather than debates over theory). Re: Artificial photosynthesis achieved
This is really cool! The design is kinda cheesy, but it's a definite step forward.
