This is just the caption for the top image:
Scientists have discovered that a sphere of cold helium atoms (in green)—interacting with a surrounding larger container of the same kind of atoms (in blue)—follows a bizarre law of physics also observed in black holes. This discovery points to a “deeper reality,” says UVM physicist Adrian Del Maestro and may be a step toward using this “superfluid” helium as the fuel of a new generation of ultra-fast quantum computers.
But a little reading of the actual article shows that is all bs. I would re-write that like this:
Nevyn wrote:Scientists have discovered that calculations for a sphere of cold helium atoms (in green)-interacting with a calculated surrounding larger container of the same kind of atoms (in blue)-follow a bizarre idea in mainstream physics also calculated in black holes. This discovery points to a "deeper pile of shit", says amateur physicist Nevyn and may be a step toward receiving huge piles of cash when I mention ultra-fast quantum computers.
They are all up in arms because things are happening on the surface and not in the whole volume and jump to the conclusion that all information in that volume is actually encoded on the surface.
And, of course, it isn't a science article without mentioning Stephen Hawking, Einstein, Schrodinger's cat and the ever present warning to "leave your common sense at the door of quantum physics"!

I have still not read one decent counter-critique to Stephen Crothers' damning papers on black holes, not to mention the softer theoretical demolition Mathis and the EU has on the topic. The fact that it's mentioned at all anymore in mainstream science is just shameful. Yet, they have none. Because shame doesn't generate funding, won't make any money?
