Re: Relativity; Superluminal; Antimatter
From the second article:
It's almost painful to still see such drivel in the scientific mainstream. Their own method is anathema to them. Fortunately, we can still remain scientific despite their shining example to the contrary.
Outflows of energy from an entity that is supposed to have so much gravity nothing can escape?
Then how come they can't make any "precise estimates"? How can an estimate be precise?
Why is it crazy that things in motion are moving? It seems the opposite of crazy, to me. It seems like that's what happens when things are moving.
As modern astronomers now know, pretty much all galaxies have a central black hole that periodically draws in stars and gas clouds. When gas begins to swirl down the drain, it heats up and magnetic fields focus some of it into jets of hot plasma. These jets shoot out at velocities near to – but not faster than – the speed of light.

All over the universe, outflows of energy from massive black holes can stop or start the formation of stars throughout galaxies. But it’s unclear how these outflows work and how much energy they contain.

That allows astronomers to make precise estimates of how fast the plasma is moving and thus how powerful the process is.

“We can see, over a human lifetime, things moving,” she says. “Which is crazy.”

Funny that they just say these things without reference to real observations.
With any "scientific" claim concerning stars/solar systems/black holes/faster than light etc. ...
The first thing in my mind is "how is this supposed to actually work?".

Without having read the article, about the only way it would make sense is if they're talking about things at supposedly great distances, which might have to go faster than light for us to see them move during our lifetime. But I don't have faith in conventional ways of measuring distances. I think the universe is quite a bit smaller than supposed.JM: Why is it crazy that things in motion are moving?
