Below is the original OP.

What MM Topics do you want to explore, whether alone or with others?
[This isn't about chat room discussions, but about general MM Topics of interest.]

Nevyn and I discussed this late in the chat on Saturday. Maybe we can coordinate better if we share what topics we are working on or would like to work on.

Please copy the following list into a Reply box and check the topics you're interested in working on.
Type "a" for great interest, "b" for moderate interest, "c" for some interest, blank for no interest. Feel free to add brief comments after any topic.

I like simple discussion best. I'm discouraged when a question is ignored.

Airman, this is for our own research, not discussion topics for the chats. Although I am sure it will all make its way in there.

Lloyd and I thought it might be a good idea to coordinate our research and this is a starting point to try to see what everyone is interested in.

Yeah, and after noticing the confusion, I revised the opening statements a little, but I suppose it may still be somewhat unclear.

That's a good point though about the need to improve chat room discussions, so as to find a way to highlight questions brought up in chats that haven't been answered yet.

Members' Work & Topic Interests Empty Re: Members' Work & Topic Interests

Post by LloydK Mon Nov 17, 2014 11:01 pm

Thanks a lot you guys for filling out that form.
If you want to change any answers, let me know any time.

I posted a summary of everyone's answers in the OP.

The first line says:
1. SIMULATION. Use physics formulas to simulate real physical motions.
AaCaNa -L

A,C,N & L means Airman, Cr6, Nevyn & LloydK.
"a" means you 3 have great interest. "-" means I have no interest at this time.

Hopefully, yous can figure the rest out. And hopefully the list may help us determine who to talk with about what.

I wonder if the above topics might be good to use in organizing this forum.

If you are looking for ways to organise the forum, I would suggest you use the same groups that Miles has used on his main page. With the addition of Chemistry because I think this should be separate from QED/QCD mainly because I plan to add a lot of content to Chemistry and don't want it to get in the way of other areas.

Unfortunately, some areas overlap, for instance, Astrophysics is part Gravity and part Electromagnetics and even part Relativity but I think we can deal with that.

Miles groups are:

Relativity
Calculus
Quantum Physics
Electromagnetics
Gravity
QED & QCD
Other

That could be the top level Forums and I think you can have Forums within Forums to setup subsets if you need to (much like The Electron Orbit is a sub-forum of The Charge Field already).

The other existing forums like Projects and References can stay too. That should cover most of what we need at the top level.

Thanks for suggestions, but I don't know if I'll take the time to do that myself for a spell at least. Maybe Cr6 will, but I guess that's doubtful too.

I posted a thread about the EU team apparently destroying the NPA at
https://milesmathis.forumotion.com/t43-eu-team-destroying-npa

I asked Dave Talbott if he'd like to reply to that. If he does, I hope to post the reply.

Now it's about 3 days later and he hasn't replied.

Now it's a year later.
