Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
I know he has wandered far and wide lately in his research on various topics.
Just wanted to see if we could at least get a new physics paper out of him before end of 2017. Any ideas?

Re: Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
No-one is more disappointed about this than me. I used to check Miles site at least once, if not 3 or 4 times a day. Now I can go a week without thinking about it. I check this forum much more often these days.
I even started to read the other stuff just for something to read, as I like Miles' writing style. I could only take it so long though. I now find myself skipping through a lot of it as I just can't stomach this person married this person, and they were screwing this other person, and they had a grand-parent who....
I get that it is what he is into now, but damn, can we at least get a little bit of physics again! I feel like we are doing more work than Miles at the moment. And that is a great thing, don't get me wrong, but I also don't feel like we are as capable, yet.
I think the best bet on how to get him back to physics is to present him with new problems to work on. If he is anything like me, then telling him to work on something won't help in the slightest. All you have to do is get me thinking about a problem and I will take it from there. I think Miles is similar. It's all about what gets the brain working and sometimes I feel like I don't have that much control over that. It seems to work on what it wants, even to my own detriment.
There is also the basic rule of trying to get answers from the internet: Don't ask a question, give the wrong answer!

Re: Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
How about helping with the CNPS Special Project? I'm helping to get it set up for comparing lots of theories/models for cross-pollination to improve them and to display breakthrough findings in their Wiki and at their conferences etc.
Bruce Nappi, who set up the forums etc, is rather ambitious and wants to accomplish a lot on their forums and their whole site. I'm ambitious too. If you guys want to see progress on Miles' ideas, you're welcome to form a team to promote his model there. I'd be willing to join your team. You wouldn't have to do much if any discussion there, unless it becomes more convenient to do so there. I think the discussion could be done here.
What we're doing is asking each model's team to state which mainstream science claims they mainly disagree with and to state the main claims of their models and references in support. Then we want to get each team to look at such statements from all teams and state what their main questions or arguments are for or against any of the other teams' claims. This back and forth would continue a few times so everyone can understand each other pretty well and maybe come to some agreements and share research and findings and write papers etc.
I was working on Miles' model at CNPS a couple months ago, but haven't gotten back to it yet.
We want to develop more efficient ways for scientists and others to communicate on forums etc and to do more productive and meaningful science and seriously challenge mainstream BS and get the public aware of more sensible & useful science.
May we start a thread for a Miles' model team, maybe under Projects? What do you's think?

Re: Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
I just posted a new link over at. http://marilynvossavant.com/forum
Might get her attention. She is a descendant of Mach.
If anyone has a very public final word on boosting/shooting down Miles...it might be her.
Hopefully her brain power confirms Miles and she boosts him and brings him good traffic. Her forum and site gets a good flow of traffic. Other than that, maybe just sending Miles a nice check every month?

Re: Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
In an email exchange with Miles this week, he said he was working on about ten new projects at once, in many fields. Not one to spread gossip but it seems like he has some good stuff coming, but is just taking his time getting things right. Sounds familiar - I'm also stuck at "getting things right", with my charge simulations. Sometimes a little downtime is a good thing.

Finally! Miles has come back to Physics!
A new paper on lasers and scattering can be found at http://milesmathis.com/raman.pdf.

Nevyn, Thanks for the link, welcome news indeed, a Miles paper on stimulated light emission is something I've always looked forward too.
I must ask, do you get email notification or some other advance warning? It's the next day, and the updates page hasn't been updated to include the new paper yet. I always knew I was at least day or two behind you.

Re: Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
That's strange. No, I don't get any advanced notification, I just happened to check the site, which I do most days, and there was a new paper. Maybe Miles sets new pages up to release on a certain day/time and because I am in a different time zone, ahead of the US, I get it earlier. I don't know. I wasn't aware that I got them early. Now I feel special!
Re: Bringing Miles back around to Physics?
Yes, special indeed!
It's a great day when a new paper is seen on Miles' "Updates" page!
Actually, made my entire week seeing this good news. And it is a good one too.
Feels like I want to pump my fist in the air and shout "YEAHHHHH!!!!"....
